The Billing section in Settings lets you view your current subscription status, manage payment methods, and monitor credit usage across your contracts.

Subscription Status Pill

Throughout the Semantiks Console, a subscription status pill is displayed near your agent’s name. This pill gives you a quick overview of your billing health—including your current plan, remaining credits, and any action required. The pill may show different messages depending on your account state:
StateWhat you seeWhat it means
ActiveGreen indicator with remaining creditsYour subscription is active and credits are available.
Free TrialTrial credits progress barYou are using free trial credits. The bar shows how much you’ve consumed.

Paused Contract (Credits Exhausted, No Payment Method)

If your organization was on a free trial and the trial credits are fully consumed without a payment method on file, your contract will be automatically paused. When this happens:
  • The subscription status pill turns red and displays “Add payment method to unpause”.
  • The Contract Card on the Billing page shows $0.00 remaining in red.
  • Your agent stops processing conversations until the issue is resolved.

How to resolve a paused contract

1

Click the status pill or CTA button

Click the red “Add payment method to unpause” button displayed in the subscription status area. This takes you directly to the Billing Details tab.
2

Add a payment method

On the Billing Details tab, add a valid payment method (credit card or other supported method).
3

Contract resumes automatically

Once a payment method is on file, your contract will be reactivated and your agent will resume handling conversations.
While your contract is paused, your agent will not respond to messages on any connected channel. Resolve the billing issue as soon as possible to avoid disruption.

Contract Card

The Contract Card on the Billing page displays key information about each of your contracts:
  • Contract status — shown as a colored badge:
    • 🟢 Active — contract is running normally
    • 🔴 Expired / Credits Exhausted / Paused — contract needs attention
    • Inactive — contract is not currently in use
  • Credits remaining — the dollar amount of credits still available. When your contract is paused due to exhausted credits, this shows $0.00 in red.
  • Credit usage breakdown — details of how credits have been consumed across your contract’s credit buckets.
You can navigate to the Billing page at any time from Settings > Billing, or by clicking the subscription status pill when it shows a billing action.

Free Trial Credits

When your organization starts a free trial, you receive a set amount of trial credits. The subscription status pill displays a progress bar showing how much of your trial allowance has been consumed.
  • The progress bar is green when credits are healthy.
  • It turns red when credits are low or exhausted.
  • Once all trial credits are consumed without a payment method, your contract is paused (see above).
To continue using your agent after the free trial, add a payment method and start a subscription from the billing page.
